Wike is an irritant, kick him out, Ned Nwoko advises PDP

Ned Nwoko, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for the Delta North senatorial district (Anioma), has described Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as a nuisance, saying he should be expelled from the party.

Nwoko said this while arriving from Abuja at the Asaba Airport.

He claims that Wike has caused trouble for the PDP.

He continued by saying that the governor of Rivers State had done a lot of damage to the party and needed to be shown the door.

He said, “Wike is a nuisance, quote me anywhere. If I were [in] the leadership of the party, I would have acted differently. I would have done things differently. He has done a lot of damage to the PDP and I don’t know what they are waiting for to show him the way out.”

Recall that Wike and the G-5 Governors have been spearheading the call for Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP’s national chairman, to step down in order to make room for the election of a Southern Chairman in accordance with the party’s zoning structure.

The governors have also abstained from Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential nominee, at his campaign events.

But on Sunday night, Governor Ortom welcomed the governors of Abia, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Oyo states to Makurdi Airport for the commissioning of projects in their respective states.

The gathering of the five powerful governors in Benue State was unprecedented.

It was heard that in addition to appointing projects, the five governors would meet regularly to discuss and adjust their campaign plans for the elections in 2023.

Prior to the state banquet organized by the Benue State government, the five governors met at the freshly opened Ape Aku Lodge.
