Sen Girei hails NECAS alumni for their sacrifices, steadfastness

Senator Abubakar Girei has expressed deep appreciation to the alumni of North East College of Arts Science and Technology Maiduguri (NECAS) 1973/74/75 intake for their commitments, sacrifices and steadfastness.

In a statement he sent to this paper, Girei who hosted the Adamawa State chapter alumni meeting in his 80 units home on January 2, 2023 thanked members for their solidarity culminating in the success of the event.

According to him, those who attended the meeting include; Hon Musa Bubakari Kamale who chaired the meeting, Dr Zainab Baba Kwonchi, Barr Sa’adu Maiyaki, Umar Mahmud, Joseph Kwaji and Dr Nuhu Maksha.

Others are; Tanko Aliyu Girei, Barr Yusuf D. Jengwe, Mustapha Raji, Engr Othman Muhammad, Mohammed Ibrahim, Abba Njidda, Babayola Ahmad and Sen A. H. Girei.

He however said, a host of members tendered last minute apologies for their inability to attend.

They include; Amb Ayuba Kadafa, Esthon H. Gapsiso, H. B. Usman, Engr Bawuro Yahaya, Usman Wurochekke, Julius Banam, Dishon Joshua, Asma’u Joda and Amsam Fwa.

Others are Aduwamai Wajilda, Saleh Kinjir, Prof Gregory Wajiga, Isa Babale, Engr Mamman Malgwi a
Girei noted that also in attendance are his primary school classmates noting that the meeting was historic, exciting and memorable in all aspects and it was rounded up with a sumptuous lunch provided by him adding that the meeting was the first in the new year 2023.
