Fintiri approves N2.4bn for youth, women empowerment in Adamawa

 

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved a whooping sum of N2.4bn naira for youths and women empowerment in the state.

Head of PAWECA in the State, Hajiya Aishatu Bawa Bello revealed this during launch the launch of 10,000 women empowerment across Adamawa.

Bello said the funds have been set aside in the 2023 budget adding that the government has so far empowered many youths and women in the state.

The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly and Senator-elect Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas commended Governor Fintiri for the giant strides in the state.

The Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. James Iliya said recently the government has empowered 492 cooperatives among others.

In his remarks at the event in Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola, Governor Umaru Fintiri said each of the beneficiaries will receive 50,000 naira grant.

He revealed that the Ministry of entrepreneurship would also follow up on each beneficiary to provide the necessary entrepreneurial support.
