Adamawa APC exco congratulates Binani over electoral victory

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state has congratulated Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani over her electoral victory.

At a press conference on Sunday in Yola, the assistant secretary of the party, Mohammed Raji Sulaiman who read the congratulatory text before newsmen said her victory was well earned.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Adamawa (REC) Barr. Hudu Yunusa Ari has returned Binani as governor-elect of Adamawa amidst protest by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Responding to the declaration of Binani as governor-elect, governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in a statewide broadcast rejected the announcement saying due process was not followed.

Raji noted that the victory of Binani at the polls as declared, translated to the victory of the APC, the state citizenry and democracy.

According to the leadership of the party, “the declaration of Engr. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, Binani, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the just concluded General Election in Adamawa State did not come to us as a surprise because of her political trajectory and her record of achievements, which speaks volume.”

The APC, having registered their solidarity, “thank the electoral umpire for conducting a free, fair and peaceful election in Adamawa State”.
