The youths who thanked the president for the distribution of palliatives across Nigeria urged Nigerians to bear with the hardship which is temporary in order to salvage Nigeria’s future.

“We sincerely reason with the government on the need to restructure the petroleum sector for the long benefits and we wish to assure His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, of our undiluted support and commitment for a better Nigeria,” the group said.

They also thanked the president for assembling the best brains in his cabinet expressing optimism that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

“Gentlemen of the Press, the Youth of this country constitute about 70% of the
population and work force. It is therefore, important that this category of the
population be given adequate consideration and support, to help in the
rejuvenation process of this country.

“To achieve this, a Youth with great
experience in Governance, good social status and academic profile must be
brought onboard to give in his wealth of experience in this driving process, as a
Minister of Youth Affairs.

“It’s on this patriotic call for duty that, we the Leadership of National Youth
Council of Nigeria, Northeast zone, after consultation with our members across
the six States of the North East zone, hereby wish to present, a capable,
educated, experienced, well-mannered Youth, who has served the APC on
different capacity, Hon Vrati Sawulama Nzonzo, a one time elected Local
Government Council Chairman, Nominated House of Representative Candidate for Numan, Lamurde and Demsa Federal constituency in the just concluded 2023 general elections, among others, for nomination by the President as our Minister of Youth Affairs.

“Our choice of Hon Vrati S. Nzonzo is born out of our desire to have our best
hand in the government of President Tinubu for the purpose of repositioning
many of our Youth who are daily being recruited into Boko Haram and
Banditry, due to lack of solid agenda for the Youth.

“We believe that Hon Vrati is best fit to change the narrative, as we in the Northeast zone, are in dare need
of this position, for closer inclusiveness.

“Finally, may we at this juncture, use this medium to plead with our father and
our beloved President Tinubu, to please consider our own Hon Vrati for
nomination and appointment as Minister of Youth,” the youths stated.
