ROWPEDI expresses shock over death of Gimbiyar Nyibango, commiserates with family

A delegation of Royalty Women for Peace and Development Initiative (ROWPEDI) led by Wakiliyar Doka Jimeta, Hapsaf Abdullahi has on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Hajja Rukayya Ahmed Jika, Gimbiyar Nyinbango.

Gimbiya reportedly died on Monday 2nd October 2023 while aboard an Aircraft from Yola to Abuja.

According to Abdullahi, the deceased was an active member of the organization adding that “indeed ROWPEDI has lost a rare gem and an ICON.”

Abdullahi who doubles as the Vice President of ROWPEDI, described late Rukayya Ahmed as easy going, patient, gentle, dedicated and humility personified.

She added that the death of Ahmed has cast a shadow in the organization and left a gaping cleavage that will be difficult to fill because of her humility, dedication, integrity, deep knowledge, simplicity and ebullience.

“Even though death is inevitable, the ROWPEDI family is still in shock over the sudden death of Gimbiya for she was indeed one of its dedicated members,” Abdullahi said.

Abdullahi prayed Allah to accept the deceased in Jannatul firdaus just as she prayed Allah to give the family the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the family, the District Head of Nyinbango, Alh. Abubakar Jika while thanking the delegation added that the massive turn out by the members of the organization buttressed the fact that the deceased was indeed a good person before her death.

After registering its condolence on the family of the deceased, the delegation similarly paid a condolence visit on Her Majesty, the Founder of the organization, Haj Aishatu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha who also prayed for the deceased to be accepted in Jannatul firdaus.

Those in the delegation include ROWPEDI EXCO and other members of the organization.
