Vigilante operative, ward head son, in police net for raping minors in Adamawa
A vigilante operative, Peter Joseph as well as the son of a ward head, Yakubu Ahmadu have landed into police net for allegedly raping minors at different locations in Adamawa State.
Joseph, a 35-year-old vigilante at Sangere Futy in Girei LGA, as well as the 25 years old Ahmadu Yakubu, of Koleni in Mayo Belwa LGA had confessed to the alleged crime.

The local security personnel and father of 5 who hails from Wula in Madagali LGA had confessed raping the little girl who hawks maize on 2 occasions.
On his part, Yakubu, the son of Ward Head who was arrested on the 2nd October, 2023, voluntarily confessed to defiling 13 year old girl in the community.
Yakubu, the father of 2 described the crime as an act of God, saying that it was God who had destined it and it must come to pass.
The spokesman of the Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who interrogated the suspects, attributed the arrest to the effort of the Command towards curtailing crime in the society.
SP Nguroje said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola had ordered for the prosecution of the suspects upon completion of investigation.
