Sen. Yohanna commends Fintiri for bringing succor to Adamawa north
The senator representing Adamawa north senatorial zone, Sen Amos Yohanna has commended governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for working round the clock to bring succor to the people of Adamawa north senatorial zone in the aftermath of the debilitating Boko Haram insurgency.
It may be recalled that at the peak of Boko Haram insurgency, all the five local governments of Adamawa northern senatorial zone were annexed by the insurgents leading to destruction of lives and properties.

During an interview with newsmen at Yola international airport shortly after his arrival into the state, the senator said governor Fintiri in collaboration of the international community and other donor agencies has invested a lot of energy at ensuring that victims of the insurgency got succor.
“I want to say that the governor of Adamawa State has addressed most of the issues wrought by the Boko Haram insurgency in collaboration with other organizations and stakeholders.
“What I will do as a senator is to complement what the governor has done to ensure total resettlement of the people so that they will continue to live their normal lives. I will continue to give the governor the necessary support,” he said.
He pledged to carryout people’s oriented representation adding that his major thrust is to ensure the prevalence of unity and peace because unity and peace are the bedrocks upon which solid development could be instituted.
Sen. Yohanna also pledged to work with all relevant stakeholders without recourse to partisan inclination to bring rapid development in his senatorial zone, adding that a good legislature is the one who work with relevant stakeholders to bring dividends of democracy to his people.
He urged members of opposition political parties especially those he defeated to respect the verdict of the court and give him all the necessary support to succeed because the most important preoccupation of them as leaders is to bring succor to the people.
“My call to other politicians is to embrace mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and to put the general interest of the people above our individual interests. Throughout our campaigns we never indulged in personal attacks or name calling. We should all come together to salvage our communities,” he said.
