Ajiyan Hausa title on Idris will strengthen bond between Kano, Daura people – Emir
The conferment of the title of Ajiyan Hausa on the former Accountant General of the federation, Ahmed Idris is a move to further cement bond of brotherhood between the two ancient civilizations, Daura emirate has disclosed.
Idris was conferred with the Ajiyan Hausa one of the prestigious titles in the emirate at an elaborate and well attended ceremony recently on October 1, 2023.

Speaking after the ceremony, Alhaji Ahmed Idris (Ajiyan Hausa) expressed gratitude to Allah and the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk for his conferment with the prestigious title.
“We will always remain grateful to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura for this demonstration of love and good gesture not just to me and my family, but to the entire people of Kano State. This will strengthen the friendship and brotherhood between the people of Kano and Daura”, he said.
Speaking earlier at the turbaning ceremony, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk expressed his appreciation to the Ajiyan Hausa for his dedication and commitment to public service.
He urged him to redouble his commitment to excellent service to humanity in line with the saying to whom much is given, much is expected.
