23 brigade commander hosts new Adamawa CP, harps on collaboration
The Commander 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Paul Zawaya has played host to the newly deployed Commissioner of Police (CP) of Adamawa, CP Dankombo Morris at the Headquarters of the 23 Brigade, Gibson Jalo Cantonment Yola, Adamawa State capital.
In his remarks the Commander emphasized the need for cooperation and collaboration among the security agencies to guarantee peace and security of the good people of Adamawa State. He assured the Commissioner of his maximum cooperation and support, while highlighting his readiness to operate 24 hours open door policy of friendship, collaboration and cooperation. “Cooperation is a must among all security agencies as it is our collective responsibility to pull the country together in a better state”. He averred.

A statement by Lt. Adebayo Samuel Adewumi, acting assistant director army public relations HQ 23 Brigade said Brigadier General Zawaya added that, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force together with other security agencies must complement each other and all have to strive towards achieving a common goal- which is a safe society for business to strive.
Earlier in his remarks, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dancombo in company of his management team said, his visit was to interact and interface with the Brigade to solicit for more support and cooperation and to consolidate on the existing relationship between the Brigade and the Police Command. He revealed that the Headquarters 23 Brigade was one of his first point of call after assuming duty on 14 February 2024.
He stated that security is a collective responsibility and the Nigeria Police Force being one of the lead agency in combating insecurity can not do it alone without support of other security agencies especially the Nigerian Army, hence the need to synergize with the leadership of 23 Brigade.
He expressed delights for the warm reception he received and further highlighted the cordial relationship the State Command had enjoyed from the Nigerian Army overtime. He also reassured of his resolve to consolidate on the existing relationship for effective policing of the state.
Highlights of the visit were the presentation of mementoes, signing of the visitors book and group photograph.
