PDP sweeps LG polls as ADSIEC announces names of chairmen elect
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made a sweeping victory in the contentious local government election organized by Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) on Saturday.
In a statement by the commission seen by our reporter, the commission returned all PDP candidates as elected chairmen.

It may be recalled that the major opposition political parties, namely the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Social Democratic Party (SDP) have declined contesting the election over alleged circumvention of electoral process and impunity by the Ahmad Umaru Fintiri led PDP government.
The Saturday polls was marred by voter apathy, late arrival of election materials and ballot vote stuffing as alleged by the Michika local government candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Anthony Zira.
But governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has endorsed the process during an interaction with media men shortly after casting his vote in his Kirchinga ward of Madagali local government.
In the same vein, the chairman of the electoral commission, Mohammed Umar Jabu also gave a pass mark to the election describing it as near hitch free.
The INEC then went ahead to release the names of the chairmen elect thus;

5. Gombi Mark Ishaya

9. Lamurde Bulus Daniel
10. Madagali Simon Musa Shashi
11. Maiha Abubakar Mustapha
12. Mayo Belwa Umar Nashong
13. Michika Dan Biyu Paul Tumba
14. Mubi North Musa Hassan
15. Mubi South Hamidu A Jingi
16. Numan Innocent Koto
17. Shelleng Abubakar Musa Abba
18. Song Idris Yahaya
19. Toungo Sulaiman Gangkuba
