This was disclosed by the founder of Labondo Discovery Hub, Julius Bidomti, at the graduation ceremony of the fifth cohort comprising 21 kids in Yola, the state capital.
Bidomti noted that his foundation was committed to helping kids aged seven to 15 to delve into the digital and AI innovation.
He, accordingly implored parents to avail their kids for golden opportunity of attaining the global digital space for enhanced economic potentials.
As according to him, AI provides enormous benefits by improving access to education, healthcare, and clean water, and can also aid in the fight against climate change, poverty, and hunger.
He however, cautioned that it is crucial to ensure that AI is developed and used in an ethical and responsible manner, to avoid unintended negative consequences. This informed why every year we target kids aged seven to 16 to come and learn digital skill to help position them for the future.
Other digital skills taught at the Hub include robotics, machine learning, cording and programming.
“We’ve previously done only five cohorts of only summer classes but from January well introduce it to selected schools. We’re also planning to have weekend classes for kids.”
He urged parents to enroll their kids at Labondo Discovery Hub by the Fire Service gate in Yola.
