Kushi noted that it becomes exceedingly imperative for him to recognize the landmark transformation the government has made in the rural areas as people only tend to focus on the huge strides he has recorded in the urban areas.
“While much has been said about the transformative strides in physical infrastructure, the deeper and more impactful activities of the administration have sometimes been overlooked.
“While beautiful edifices adorn our urban centers, few take notice of the life-changing initiatives being implemented in rural areas and communities. It is in this light that this forum has been organized to provide insight into how the fresh air of change is sweeping through all the nooks and crannies of Adamawa State,” Kushi noted.
Kushi who described Fintiri’s rural transformation as unprecedented in history noted that from the northernmost to the southernmost fringes of the state, rural communities are reaping the benefits promised by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
“Since not many have had the opportunity to explore the countryside, it is necessary to shift focus from the glitzy transformations in urban centers to the hinterland and assess the progress happening there.
“Already, events in these rural areas indicate a decline in rural-urban migration as agriculture experiences a boom. Electricity, rural roads, and medical facilities are being established at an unprecedented pace.
“These developments are being felt by the rural dwellers, and it is crucial to keep our urban residents informed of the progress being made across the far-flung parts of the state. Today, Governor Fintiri can confidently claim to have fulfilled his promises to the electorate.
“Adamawa, under Governor Fintiri, has been a trailblazer in Nigeria. The Implementation of a seventy-thousand-naira minimum wage came like a bolt from the blue at a time when some governors were still deliberating the issue. As in the past, this administration has remained persistent on policies that positively impact the people. As Adamawa leads, others will surely follow.
“The “Fintiri Wallet program, which provides relief to over twenty thousand beneficiaries, continues to expand as women and youths are empowered to establish petty businesses to support their families.
“Road networks linking rural areas are also being constructed. In terms of transportation, the “Fresh Air” buses have significantly eased the burden on the public by providing affordable transportation. Educational institutions have been among the major beneficiaries of this initiative.
“There is no area of human development that has not been addressed by this administration. As Governor Fintiri has promised, “No one will be left behind, and nothing will be left untouched,” a maxim that holds true. His detractors may have their opinions, but accolades continue to pour in from all corners. The security threat posed by local ruffians, known as “Shilla boys,” has drastically reduced.
“There is much more to say, but time will not allow for everything to be covered today. And for those who have witnessed these changes firsthand, there is little more that needs to be said,” Kushi added.
In their separate remarks, the SSA on public affairs, Joshua Wugira, Special Adviser on inter party affairs, Bala Jada and the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou respectively also pour encomium on the governor for surpassing all expectations in the delivery of democratic dividends.
They said due to the unprecedented performance, the governor has become a reference point even within his peers just as they noted that no government has extended developmental strides like that of Fintiri across all facets of human endeavor.
The aides noted that the performance of the governor in education, health, agriculture, security governance and administration were superb adding that such made him to succeed where others failed.
