
MAAUN Niger mourns ex-student, Aisha Musa Lawal
The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger–Maradi, has extended their heartfelt condolences to the parents of a former student of the University, Aisha Musa Lawal who died on Thursday, 10th October, 2024 after a brief illness.
Aged 25, the deceased died at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) following a brief illness and had since been buried in her hometown, Gusau, Zamfara State, according to Islamic rites.

The condolence message was contained in a statement by the President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo and distributed to newsmen in Kano on Friday.
The Management of the University described the death of Aisha as a huge loss not only to her parents and relatives, but to the entire staff and students of her alma mater.
Prof. Gwarzo also described the late Aisha as a humble student who had respect for students and staff members as well as those she came across.
“On behalf of the Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger, I wish to extend our condolences to her parents, relatives and friends of the deceased over the great loss.
“The Management of the university wishes to also commiserate with the Management and staff of the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau over the demise of Aisha who was their staff,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and admit her in the highest level of paradise.
Prof. Gwarzo also prayed that God will comfort the deceased parents as well as her relatives during this period of grief.
