50 Adamawa south women receive training on house keeping operations

The centre for management development in collaboration with B-Tech Global investment and services Ltd, trained and empowered 50 women of Adamawa South senatorial zone in Home making (house keeping operations).

The two-day training held at the Pwanabato Event Center in Numan Local Government Area, Adamawa State, commenced on Monday, November 11, 2024, and ended today, Tuesday, November 12.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ibrahim Baba highlighted the training as a federal government initiative designed to empower women towards self-reliance. He noted that the project, which spans the six geopolitical zones, was brought to Adamawa South thanks to the senator’s dedication to his constituents. Dr. Baba expressed confidence that, by the end of the training, participants would gain skills to create occupational services, enhancing their ability to support their families. He also extended gratitude to Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for his commitment to securing this program for his constituency.

In his welcome address, the distinguished Senator Binos enjoined all the participants to take the training session seriously as it is designed to transform their economic status as women. He said this through his representative Hon. Katawan Boniface. Binos called on all the women to put the stipends given to them into good use and also step down the training to other women in their various Local Governments.

During her goodwill message ,the vice Chairman of Demsa local government, Hon. Amsam Thaddeus lauded the Senators efforts in being instrumental to the training. She affirmed that it is one of a kind in the zone and they are very privileged as women to be part of it.

Mrs Sawe Omega Ndwakan on behalf of the participants assured Senator Binos and the training team that they will put newly acquired knowledge to good use.

The two-day training had participants from all nine local government areas within the constituency, including Numan, Lamurde, Demsa, Guyuk, Shelleng, Mayo-Belwa, Jada, and Toungo.
