
Suspected cable vandal electrocuted in Adamawa
An unidentified suspected cable vandal has been electrocuted while attempting to vandalise electricity cable at a transformer in Yola, Adamawa State Capital.
A statement by the spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the deceased attempted to vandalise cable near Ribadu square around 06:00hrs.

He said that unfortunately part of his body came in contact with live electricity cable which electrocuted him where he sustained serious injury where he became unconscious.
“The suspect has been evacuated to hospital for expert opinion. Investigation is ongoing for more recoveries and more details.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, warned the public to keep off from electrical transformers and report anyone seen around for immediate action,” the statement said.
