In a statement released to the press in Abuja on Thursday, April 10, 2025, Hon. According to Hon. Nwogu, the award is not only a recognition of Governor Uzodinma’s visible achievements but also a testament to his focus, resilience, and purposeful leadership. “Over the past few years, Governor Uzodinma has continued to shine like the northern star,” Nwogu remarked. “He has remained steadfast in his pursuit of quality and standard infrastructure, which has become evident in the face-lift of Imo State’s landscape, especially through critical road projects linking major towns like Owerri, Orlu, and Okigwe.”

Hon. Nwogu further emphasized the strategic impact of the governor’s infrastructural agenda, noting that the development goes beyond urban centers. He lauded Governor Uzodinma’s commitment to rural integration through road networks that now connect remote agrarian communities, creating easier access to markets and improving the economic prospects of farmers and traders across various local government areas.

“Opening up these rural corridors,” he said, “is a brilliant and inclusive approach to governance. It’s a move that will boost agricultural productivity, reduce urban migration, and promote equitable development across the state. This is what good governance looks like—leaving no community behind.”

The former lawmaker expressed admiration for the pace and quality of work being delivered by the Uzodinma administration. According to him, such projects are not just physical structures but lifelines that directly affect the quality of life of Imolites. He urged the governor to remain focused on his vision, assuring him that the people are taking note of his efforts and the legacy he is building.

Hon. Nwogu also took the opportunity to offer his prayers and well-wishes for the governor, asking God to grant him continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of the state. “It is my sincere prayer that God Almighty continues to endow Governor Uzodinma with all the grace and enablements required to sustain the good work and even surpass current achievements before the end of his tenure,” he added.

He concluded the statement by reaffirming his confidence in the governor’s leadership, describing him as a visionary leader who has consistently prioritized the welfare of his people through tangible and far-reaching policies.

“On behalf of myself, my political associates, and the good people of Nkwerre/Isu and Nwangele LGAs, I heartily felicitate with His Excellency on this prestigious award. This is a moment of pride for all Imolites and a call to remain united in support of ongoing development efforts.”
