Haske salutes Gangwari Ganye at silver jubilee, says your era marked by unity, peace, cultural renaissance
In a glowing and emotionally touching tribute, Adamawa’s frontline governorship hopeful, Abdurrahman Bashir Haske has eulogized the purpose driven and landmark era of Gangwari Ganye, HRH Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda saying that in the last 25 years, Ganye chiefdom has witnessed exceptional development, peace, unity and cultural renaissance.
Haske, a young entrepreneur and one of the most illustrious sons of the chiefdom noted that he was not surprised by the epochal milestones recorded in the historic chiefdom because of the carriage, humility, people driven, down-to-earth and all encompassing leadership style of Gangwari Ganye.

“As the sun rises over the hills of Ganye to mark a significant milestone in its storied history, I must pause to celebrate a monarch whose reign has been defined by wisdom, dignity, and an overarching commitment to the well-being of his people. His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umaru Adamu Sanda, the Gangwari Ganye, clocks 25 years on the throne — a silver jubilee of leadership that has become a reference point in unity, peace, and cultural rebirth.
Haske described Gangwari’s 25-year reign as “a golden era for the Ganye Chiefdom and a symbol of enduring progress in the face of contemporary challenges.”
He praised the traditional ruler for his deep understanding of leadership, one rooted in humility, tradition, and an unflinching dedication to serve humanity with humility.
“Your era has been nothing short of transformational. You have given us unity where division threatened, peace in times of uncertainty, and a renewed pride in our heritage when our culture seemed on the verge of dilution.
“Ascending the throne in 1999, Gangwari Ganye inherited not just a tradition, but a responsibility to a people rich in culture and legacy. Over the years, he has not only preserved that legacy but elevated it, positioning Ganye as a model chiefdom where tradition aligns with purpose to bring progress. Under his stewardship, the Chiefdom has witnessed remarkable growth in community cohesion, inter-ethnic dialogue, and grassroots development.
“Gangwari has played an integral role in brokering peace across local communities, promoting interfaith tolerance, and championing youth empowerment through education and vocational initiatives. His palace has remained a sanctuary for dialogue and conflict resolution, earning him respect far beyond the borders of his domain,” Haske said.
