And when politics is defined not just as the authoritative allocation of resources, but as service to humanity, one name rises tall in Bauchi South: Engr. Shamsuddeen Bala Mohammed, the Dan Galadiman Duguri.
As we approach the 2027 general elections, there is a growing consensus across the senatorial district that Shamsuddeen represents not just a new face in politics — but a renewed hope. A trained aeronautical engineer from Ukraine, Shamsuddeen has never stood aloof from the realities of his people. Through the Dan Galadiman Duguri (DGD) Project, he has transformed philanthropic vision into tangible action, touching thousands across Bauchi State and beyond. His interventions span education, economic empowerment, spiritual development, and social mobility — and they all tell one story: a man who leads by giving.
Among his notable achievements:
Education Empowerment: Over 350 students received full scholarships to pursue their Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) at the State College of Education, Kangere. These beneficiaries now walk a new path of knowledge and opportunity.
Spiritual Support: Between 2024 and 2025, he sponsored 20 less-privileged Muslims to perform the sacred Hajj pilgrimage — fulfilling one of Islam’s fundamental pillars and showcasing his deep-rooted faith and selfless devotion to service.
Economic Upliftment: In a remarkable youth empowerment drive, Shamsuddeen provided 2.5 million each to five youths for six consecutive months and N1 million each to fifteen youths for three months — helping them start businesses and become employers of labour in their own right.
Social Mobility: Through the donation of vehicles, including Peugeot 406s and Toyota models, he has transformed the lives of everyday people — elevating their social status and that of their families across Bauchi South.
These acts are not mere charity — they are investments in people, driven by a leader who understands the value of dignity, opportunity, and progress.
