
LND mourns renowned Kano businessman, Alh Aminu Dantata
The League of Northern Democrats, (LND) has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the passage of one of Nigeria’s renowned businessmen, politician and philanthropist, Alh. Aminu Dantata.
A statement by the national publicity secretary of the organization, Dr. Shehu Ladan states that the death of the elderstatesman marked the end of an epoch.

“On behalf of the chairman, the executive committee and the entire membership of the League of Northern Democrats (LND). I write to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Dantata family, the government and the good people of Kano, on the passing of Alh. Aminu Dantata CON.
“We join millions of sympathizers across the world in mourning a towering icon – an extraordinary businessman, a politician, a statesman of distinction and a philanthropist whose life is a manifest inspiration to the society.
“Alhaji Aminu Dantata is a devout Muslim with Islam guiding his whole life and business ethics. In that, he was a family man, a caring father and patriarch, a mentor, a philanthropist, a builder of man.
“He wasn’t just a businessman, he was a transformer of business! We acknowledge his professional legacy, beyond a businessman. He was a creator of wealth with high standards of corporate social responsibility basically translating personal prosperity into public service. He was a beacon of hope whose impact reached far beyond commerce, touching lives, building communities and fostering opportunities.
“As a devout Muslim, his life was lived in faith and humility practicing his religion faithfully, pursuing his dreams diligently and raising his family with love and discipline,” the statement said.
