Senator Grace Folashade Bent, better known as “GOGGO” by the people of Adamawa State especially from her constituency is proudly a detribalised Nigerian, and who has demonstrated high sense of commitment of doing good for the people taking into account her Sterling leadership qualities when the people of Adamawa State Southern Senatorial Zone give her the opportunity to represent them in the red chamber of the National Assembly.
It’s in the public domain, that the zone has never had good representation until her election as the Senator where she served the people diligently and provided the much needed dividend of democracy for four years.
I was privy to the contributions of this political amazon, who drastically change the face of representation to that anchor on delivering the dividends of democracy under her former party(PDP). She is a role model whose unprecedented commitment led to the development of the Southern Senatorial Zone.
The approach adopted by distinguished Senator Grace Bent, while in the Senate was the first of its kind and this was made possible for the simple fact that as someone so conversant and versatile in the arts of politics she quickly lay emphasis on the needs of the people.
When she joined the APC without being immodest, it’s pertinent to stress that she had placed devotion to the success of President Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 election.
She has demonstrated that as a mission through figuratively an envisioned line of action. She vigorously campaigned for him not only in the Adamawa Southern Senatorial Zone, but the entire state as a whole.
Senator Grace Bent, has a clear vision for the future of this great country. No doubt as Ambassador she will put all her hands on deck to establish a robust and good harmonious relationship with the country that she will find herself as our envoy. She is a very courageous and devoted leader as well as visionary and dynamic woman who is amply dedicated to the cause of her country and the people.
She is a woman who believes in hardwork and encouraged those around her to exhibit such Sterling quality as such the staff of the embassy where she will posted as Ambassador will have to be up and doing.
Leadership is not only based on merit and competence but also takes account of symbolic impact thus, within diplomatic circle, there is highly developed sense of meritocracy where individual achievements is valued. As such her achievements were valued by the President Bola Tinubu, and nominated for Ambassadorial position.
It’s therefore with deep sense of appreciation that one would commend the President Bola Tinubu, for the wonderful nomination of Senator Grace Bent, as an Ambassador.
The social consciousness of individual leaders however, measured by their socially significant activities and regard in which they are held by their people can be compared. I commend Senator Grace Bent, for her actions, practical and symbolic, and by her compartment demonstrated that the goal of one Nigeria, a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society characterised by tolerance, interdependence, and unity is reachable. The distinguished former Senator Grace Bent, is rated one among the best nominees for the Ambassadorial position. And the grim reality facing the country with bad relationship with other countries will be a thing of the pass with the likes of distinguished former Senator Grace Bent, as envoys. With this, I commend the President Bola Tinubu, for nominating Senator Grace Bent, to contribute her quota in nation building as the President Bola Tinubu, is poised to a comprehensive restructuring of the country’s diplomatic representation in the world.
