Haske leads APC women empowerment, reaffirms support for president Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Empowerment Day was recently held in Adamawa State, drawing women leaders from across the state in a strong display of unity, mobilisation, and loyalty to the party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The empowerment programme was organised under the leadership of the Group Managing Director of H&W Rice Limited, Demsa, Adamawa State, Hon. Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, and was held under the theme “Empowering Women, Strengthening APC.”

The initiative underscored the growing emphasis on women as a critical force within the party’s political structure.
In attendance were over 270 women leaders, including the Acting State Woman Leader, the Assistant State Woman Leader, three zonal women leaders, 21 local government women leaders, 21 assistant local government women leaders, and 226 ward women leaders from across Adamawa State.
Addressing the gathering, the Acting State Woman Leader, Hon. Gloria, described Haske’s leadership as visionary and inspiring.
She noted that his approach has rekindled hope, strengthened loyalty, and boosted confidence among women, whom she described as the backbone of both the APC and Nigeria’s democratic process.
Similarly, the ALGON Woman Leader, Hajiya Hadiza Isa Mohammed, reaffirmed women’s unwavering loyalty to Haske.
She stressed that when women are equipped with the necessary tools and empowerment opportunities, they remain productive, committed, and dependable within the party’s framework.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the APC Central Zone, Alhaji Isa Bagalchi, described the programme as impactful and well thought out.
According to him, the initiative served as an effective platform for deepening political awareness and engagement across the 21 local government areas of the state.
He commended Haske for deliberately placing women at the centre of his political activities and encouraged them to complete their e-voter registration and APC membership registration to ensure credible and fair elections.
Former local government chairman and close associate of Haske, Alhaji Muhammad Bako, also praised the organiser for prioritising women in his political journey.
He noted that women constitute a significant percentage of the APC’s voting strength and remain indispensable to the party’s electoral success.
In his address, Hon. Abdulrahman Bashir Haske expressed gratitude to the APC State Chairman, who was represented by the Zonal Vice Chairman, Isa Bakalci, as well as the state woman leader and other women leaders who travelled from various wards and local governments to participate in the programme.
He described women as the enduring backbone of the APC, whose resilience and dedication have sustained the party for over a decade.
Reflecting on the party’s 2023 efforts to produce Nigeria’s first female governor, Haske urged women not to lose hope, assuring them that their aspirations remain achievable.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, he called on women in Adamawa State to remain steadfast in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, formally endorsing his re-election in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He also conveyed appreciation from the First Lady, whom he described as the “Mother of Nigeria,” for the women’s continuous support and active participation in party activities.
During the event items including bags of rice, as well as cash tokens were given to women leaders from wards and local government areas across the state, reinforcing the APC’s commitment to women’s empowerment and welfare.
