An excellent leader, a rare patriot; Arewa PDP support group celebrates Minakaro at 50
The Arewa PDP Support Group has in a show of exceptional camaraderie extended hearty felicitations to Hon. Desmond Minakaro, an Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and National Secretary of the group, on the occasion of his 50th birthday, describing him as an exceptional leader, bridge builder, and committed Nigerian patriot.
In a message issued by the national director of youth affairs, Aliyu Mohammed, to mark the milestone, the group said Minakaro’s attainment of two scores and ten represents a moment of collective pride for advocates of democracy, justice, and good governance across the country.
Mohammed, noted that Minakaro has over the years distinguished himself through courage, conviction, and consistency in political engagement.

According to the group, his leadership style has helped unite people across political, ethnic, and social divides in the pursuit of a more inclusive and democratic Nigeria.
“Hon. Desmond Minakaro has remained a dependable pillar within the PDP, particularly in Adamawa State and the broader Arewa political family,” the statement said.
Mohammed added that Minakaro’s energy, resourcefulness and commitment to party ideals have earned him widespread respect.
The group further praised Minakaro’s role in the struggle to build an enduring democratic culture in Nigeria, noting that he has consistently spoken out against maladministration, injustice, and policies perceived to undermine the welfare of citizens.
His outspoken posture, the statement said, has earned him a reputation as the voice of the voiceless and a vanguard of the people.
Describing him as an incorrigible democrat, the Arewa PDP Support Group said Minakaro combines intellectual depth with compassion, making him a cerebral leader and astute humanist.
“His political interventions, are guided by reason, empathy, and a sincere desire to uplift society.
“The services of Hon. Minakaro to the growth and sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy remain indelible in history,” the group stated.
Mohammed added that his contributions will continue to resonate and inspire younger generations within and outside the PDP.
“As he marks the golden jubilee celebration, the Arewa PDP Support Group offered prayers for continued good health, renewed strength, and greater capacity for service. Arewa PDP support group expressed confidence that Minakaro would continue to deploy his experience and energy in the service of humanity and the nation,” the statement said.
