
Ramadan-Lenten: Sen Yaroe reaches out to CAN, Muslim council, less privileged in constituency
As Muslims and Christians mark Ramadan and Lenten period respectively, observing fasting and dedicating their lives to the service of God Almighty and humanity to mankind, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, the Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, having recognized the significance of the season, decided to reach out to the less privileged across the 9 LGAs with food items to ease their fast.
The Senator also saw the need to reach out to the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Muslim Council as part of the measures to ensure the items reach the target beneficiaries.

Addressing the representatives of the 9 LGAs at the flag-off ceremony, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe described the moment as critical in the lives of both Christians and Muslims, calling on the believers to utilize the season and pray for peaceful coexistence.
Represented by his Campaign Director-General (DG), Mr. Katawan Boniface, Senator Binos disclosed that no fever than 1,170 bags of rice were distributed, 900 bags of sugar with 450 cartons of Spaghetti and 144 cartons of vegetable oil as well as other food items.
He broke it down, “Each of the 9 LGAs will get 130 bags of rice; making 1,170. And 100 bags of sugar; making 900. We also have 16 gallons of vegetable oil for each LGA; making 144, and 50 cartons of Spaghetti for each of the LGA; making 450. These items are meant for the less privileged in the society”.
According to him, the distribution became imperative due to the importance and significance of both Ramadan and Lenten period, where he reiterated his commitment and determination to put smiles on the faces of his constituents as all time.
Speaking shortly after receiving the items, the Assistant PRO of Muslim Council in Mayo-Belwa LGA, Mal. Abubakar Suleiman, appreciated the kind gesture and promised effective distribution to the target beneficiaries.
While describing Senator Binos as a sincere and honest man who wants the best for his constituents, the Muslim Council representative noted that the food items would go a long way in aiding the Muslims as the Month of Ramadan unfolds.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Mayo-Belwa LGA, Bro. Chris Simon, described the gesture as timely as Christians mark the Lenten period, where he thanked Senator Binos for the kind gesture.
He pointed out that the Christian body would ensure the beneficiaries would be the less privileged in the society, adding that they would continue to pray God Almighty to grant the Senator the desires of his heart.
On his part, the Chairman of People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), Mal. Abubakar Mohammed Bolto, who could not hide his joy, expressed gratitude to Senator Binos for considering the physically challenged as major beneficiaries of the distribution.
While appealing to the Senator to keep considering them for more benefits during festivities, the PLWDs chair assured the Senator that the food items would go round among his members, both Christians and Muslims alike.
This is not the first time that Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe has reached out to his constituents during festive seasons, especially to the less privileged. This underscores his commitment and determination to putting smiles on the faces of his constituents across the 9 LGAs that constitute Adamawa Southern Senatorial District.
