Moniedafe writes APC nat’l chair over non refund of N10m nomination fee, unjust sack from NIMASA
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Dr. Sunny Sylvester Moniedafe, has formally petitioned the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over what he described as longstanding injustice, including the non-refund of N10 million paid for a nomination form and his alleged illegal dismissal from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
In a letter addressed to the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Moniedafe urged the national chairman to use his good office to address grievances he said have lingered for years despite his loyalty to the party.

Moniedafe recalled that he had aspired to contest for the position of APC National Chairman and spent over 21 months canvassing support across the country.
He however noted that, following the party’s decision to zone the position to the North Central, he stepped down and redirected his ambition to the office of Deputy National Chairman North.
According to him, he subsequently purchased the nomination form for N10 million and proceeded through the screening process conducted by a panel led by former Speakers of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Aminu Masari and Dimeji Bankole.
He noted that at the time, the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, had assured aspirants that those who stepped down for a consensus list endorsed by party leaders would be refunded their nomination fees.
“Over four years later, the leadership of the party has not refunded my N10 million,” Moniedafe lamented, describing the situation as unfair and demoralizing.
He recounted being present at the Yola International Airport to receive party leaders, including the Vice President, during a recent visit, noting that his exclusion from party recognition structures in Adamawa undermines both his contributions and the party’s image of inclusivity.
Moniedafe alleged that he was unjustly removed from his position at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency over two decades ago noting that after lodging complaint before the House of Representatives, the legislative arm recommended his reinstatement after determining that due process was not followed, but the agency was yet to comply with the directive.
Describing his continued membership in the APC as a testament to his loyalty, Moniedafe appealed to Yilwatda to intervene and ensure both the refund of his nomination fee and the resolution of his employment dispute.
He congratulated governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his return to the ruling party adding that the decision is a right step in the right direction and will consolidate the position of Adamawa in mainstream national politics.
