History as Adamawa women crowdfund for Galadima; urge him to contest guber election
In a historic occasion marking a unique epoch, women from the 21 local governments of Adamawa State have started mobilizing funds to purchase nomination and expression of interest forms to facilitate the participation of Tijjani Ahmed Galadima, the executive secretary of Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) into the 2027 governorship race in Adamawa State.
The women said their action is a patriotic move to ensure the enthronement of good governance, peace, progress and stability expected to herald Galadima’s leadership in the state.

At a well attended convention in Yola, women from the 21 local governments of the state under the aegis of Galadima Women Support Movement (GWSM) made a clarion call on Galadima to come out and serve adding that as a patriotic citizen it has become incumbent on him to heed the clarion call of the masses.
Speaking during the meeting, a zonal coordinator of the movement, Paulina Kaigama said based on his track record of achievement, integrity, experience and sterling performance, the women decided to support him knowing that the state will be the better for his choice.
”I want to use this opportunity to thank God for the clear vision he gave all Adamawa women to come with the noble idea of supporting a man of honour with the poise to turn around the fortunes of our state,” she said.
Also speaking, the state coordinator of the movement, Haj. Mariya Nyako said women were buoyed by Tijjani’s illustrious career and excellent record to settle for him.
She noted that various groups of women have already contributed over N120m to support Galadima adding that they will continue mobilizing funds till they hit the N200m target.
She called on Galadima to without hesitation accept the call to serve the state in the interest of peace, development and progress.
Also speaking, another coordinator of the movement, Hajiya Maisaratu Bello thanked Adamawa women for recognizing and supporting their son adding that such gesture will be seriously reciprocated through good governance.
Also the chairman of APC ALGON, Musa Hassan Dabutor who applauded the women said the APC will not hesitate to support anyone who get the support of the masses.
He said APC is poised to ensure credible internal party processes that will produce candidates who will be accepted by the generality of the populace.
Responding to the gesture, the wife of Tijjani Galadima, Hajiya Saadatu Tijjani Galadima thanked Adamawa women for the show of love and support to her husband.
She particularly appreciated them for mobilizing funds to support her husband without any strings attached adding that such gesture will remain indelible in their hearts and will be reciprocated through purposeful leadership.
She acknowledged the developmental challenges women in Adamawa State face noting that her husband is not unmindful of such issues and will do his best to address them.
