You’re an epitome of excellence: Fintiri showers glowing tributes on Tijjani Galadima

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has showered glowing encomiums on the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu, describing him as a shining example of selfless service and a worthy ambassador of Adamawa State whose impact continues to resonate across communities and institutions.

The governor spoke at a special ceremony organised by the Public Speakers Network of Africa Foundation in collaboration with Prestige Golden Voice Communication, held in honour of Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola.

The event attracted government officials, scholars, members of the academia and other distinguished personalities.

Governor Fintiri used the occasion to task illustrious sons and daughters of Adamawa State, both at home and in the diaspora, to emulate the character, commitment and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the PTDF boss.

According to him, individuals who have been privileged with positions of influence must see themselves as ambassadors of their state, communities and alma maters, and leverage such opportunities to positively impact lives.

He described Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu as a good man with an inspiring life journey, whose record of achievements has brought pride to Adamawa State.

The governor noted that through the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Galadima Aminu has played a critical role in supporting education by providing scholarships and other forms of academic assistance to graduates and students in various institutions.

Governor Fintiri stressed that the celebrant’s consistent interventions in education and human capital development reflect a deep commitment to service and a genuine concern for the future of the younger generation.

He added that such efforts align with his administration’s focus on education as a key driver of sustainable development in the state.

While reaffirming his government’s resolve to continue recognising and celebrating outstanding Adamawa indigenes, Governor Fintiri urged other stakeholders to draw inspiration from Galadima Aminu’s example.

He emphasised that the development of the state requires collective effort, patriotism and a willingness to give back without seeking personal gain.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Occasion, Ambassador Hassan Adamu, said the event was organised to celebrate the achievements, dedication and exemplary public service record of Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu.

He described the PTDF executive secretary as a technocrat whose contributions have strengthened institutional capacity and expanded access to opportunities, particularly in the education sector.

In his response, the celebrant, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Galadima Aminu, expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for the honour bestowed on him.

He described the recognition as humbling and pledged not to take it for granted. He also reaffirmed his commitment to support initiatives that promote education, capacity building and development in Adamawa State and beyond.

Goodwill messages from scholars and members of the academia highlighted Alhaji Galadima Aminu’s numerous interventions, particularly in scholarship awards, renovation projects and infrastructural support across public institutions in Adamawa State.

They commended him for using his position to uplift others and for remaining connected to his roots despite his national responsibilities.
