Adamawa ADC distances self from legal action challenging David Mark led exco

‎The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State has formally distanced itself from an ongoing legal action challenging the party’s national leadership under David Mark, declaring that it neither authorized nor supports the suit.

‎In a press release issued by the State Chairman, Shehu Yohanna Kambile, the party made it clear that the Adamawa chapter was not consulted and had no hand in initiating the case currently before a High Court. The statement emphasized that the action does not reflect the position or interests of the state chapter.

‎Kambile outlined several reasons for the dissociation, stressing the chapter’s commitment to party unity and stability.

He noted that the ADC in Adamawa firmly believes in resolving disputes through established internal mechanisms rather than resorting to litigation that could deepen divisions within the party.

The chairman further cited the lack of consultation with key stakeholders as a major concern, describing it as a breach of collective decision-making processes.

‎He also reaffirmed the chapter’s continued confidence in the current national leadership, underscoring the importance of protecting the party’s public image and integrity at a critical time in Nigeria’s political landscape.

According to him, actions capable of portraying the party as fractured or disorganized must be avoided.

‎He called on party members and stakeholders across the state to remain calm, law-abiding, and focused on strengthening the ADC’s structures and grassroots support. Kambile reiterated that the Adamawa chapter remains loyal to the ideals and leadership of the party and is fully committed to its collective progress.
