Yola the Adamawa State capital was temporarily shutdown as the youngest governorship aspirant, Abdurrahman Bashir Haske declares governorship ambition under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Strategic locations across the state capital including the popular police roundabout play host to thousands of youths, women and civil society who came out to support Haske’s ambition saying that it represents a paradigm shift.

The event across many locations assumed a carnival outlook as women and youth wearing branded clothes danced to the tune of melodies music in support of the young politician.
The enthusiastic supporters who carry placards bearing supportive messages said this is the time for the youths to serve the state expressing optimism that Haske will serve with panache, integrity, commitment and passion.
Businesses were also shut down as many traders closed shop and joined Haske support train creating a serious traffic gridlock across the state capital stretching for hours.
While declaring his ambition, Haske said he was prodded by the people who believed in him to join the guvernorship race. Haske who expressed optimism of winning the APC guvernorship primaries said based on the massive goodwill and grassroot support he enjoyed he has absolute confidence of winning any contest.
He however noted that as a democrat, he will support anyone who wins the primaries provided the enabling environment for free and fair contest is provided.
He said for him election is a game of numbers where person wit majority support base always carry the day adding that his ambition is not a do or die affair as he believes leadership only comes from God.
