Over 30,000 Adamawa women rally behind Haske’s governorship ambition
In a strong display of political support, over 30,000 women from across Adamawa State stormed Yola, the state capital, to endorse the governorship ambition of Abdurrahman Bashir Haske ahead of the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The women, drawn from diverse communities and backgrounds across the 21 LGs of the state, urge Haske to remain steadfast and actively participate in the party’s forthcoming primary election.

They collectively expressed confidence in his ability to secure the party’s ticket and emerge victorious at the polls.
Speakers at the event took time to highlight Haske’s commitment to human capital development, particularly his focus on empowering women and youths.
According to them, his track record demonstrates a clear vision for inclusive governance, assuring that the electorate would not regret supporting his candidacy.
One of the coordinators of the gathering, Mrs. Gumni Simon, stated that the programme was organized to formally communicate the women’s stout support for Haske.
She emphasized that his past contributions to scholarship and human capital development especially in job creation and youth empowerment, make him a suitable candidate for the state’s top office.
She further noted that Haske has facilitated employment opportunities for many young people in both the armed forces and public sector, while also investing in infrastructure development, including the procurement of 100 electricity transformers for distribution to underserved communities.
Other speakers, including Hajiya Yelwa Tata, Lami Aguwa, and Hajiya Habsatu Ali, reaffirmed their commitment to Haske’s success.
They dismissed speculations suggesting that he might step down for another aspirant, insisting that he remains their preferred choice for the governorship race.
The speakers also called on supporters to strengthen their political participation by registering as card-carrying members of the APC, noting that such involvement is crucial for influencing the outcome of both the party primaries and the general election.
Several women at the gathering pledged to mobilize support at the grassroots level, assuring that women across the state would turn out in large numbers to vote for Haske.
The endorsement marks a significant boost for Haske’s political ambition, reflecting growing grassroots support as the race toward 2027 begins to take shape in Adamawa State.
