Senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial District, Sen. Binos Dauda Yaroe, has formally commenced his campaign for a third term in the Senate with the commissioning of his campaign office in Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Yaroe, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), used the occasion to rally supporters behind the party’s presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, declaring that the 2027 election provides Nigerians an opportunity to change the direction of the country.

The campaign office was commissioned on Thursday in Mayo-Belwa in the presence of ADC leaders, candidates, supporters and loyalists drawn from communities across the local government.

Addressing the gathering, Yaroe criticised the economic difficulties confronting Nigerians, arguing that the hardship experienced by citizens under the administration of President Bola Tinubu should motivate voters to demand political change at the 2027 polls.

He urged Nigerians, particularly voters in Adamawa South, to support the ADC from the presidential level to the state House of Assembly, insisting that the party represents an alternative for Nigerians seeking what he described as better governance and improved living conditions.

Yaroe declared that his return to the Senate would be meaningless to him if Atiku failed to emerge as President in 2027.

“There is no need for me to go back to the Senate if Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has not won the election as President of this country,” he said.

According to him, Nigerians must take advantage of the electoral process to determine who governs them, urging voters not to be discouraged from participating in the 2027 elections.

He further appealed to the people of Adamawa South to renew his mandate for another term, promising to continue representing their interests at the National Assembly.

Yaroe had earlier declared his intention to seek a third term on the ADC platform, promising to consolidate on his legislative and constituency interventions.
Also speaking at the event, the ADC governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Modibbo Hammantukur Ribadu, unveiled an economic development agenda for Mayo-Belwa, promising to pursue the establishment of a sugar factory in the local government if elected governor.

Ribadu also pledged to prioritise youth empowerment through skills acquisition and vocational training, saying young people would be equipped with practical skills that could make them economically productive and self-reliant.

The ADC has officially listed Modibbo Hammantukur Ribadu as its Adamawa governorship candidate for the 2027 election.

The Adamawa State Chairman of the ADC, Barrister Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, described the party’s candidates as people capable of providing what he called innovative and accountable leadership.

Dasin urged voters to support Atiku Abubakar for president, Yaroe for the Adamawa South senatorial seat, Adamu Atiku for the Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency, as well as the party’s candidates for the state House of Assembly.

He called on party supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the ADC establishes a strong electoral presence across the state ahead of the 2027 polls.

The ADC House of Representatives candidate for Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency, Hon. Adamu Atiku, described Atiku Abubakar as a familiar political figure in the constituency and called on residents to support the party’s candidates across the ballot.

Adamu urged voters in Mayo-Belwa to vote for ADC candidates from the presidency to the state assembly, saying an electoral victory for the party would provide an opportunity for coordinated development across the different levels of government.

Similarly, the ADC candidates for Nassarawo-Binyeri and Mayo-Belwa constituencies in the Adamawa State House of Assembly expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, promising to mobilise voters across their respective constituencies.

They pledged to work with party leaders and grassroots structures to secure massive support for the ADC during the 2027 elections.

The highlight of the event was the commissioning of Senator Binos Yaroe’s campaign office by the ADC governorship candidate, Modibbo Hammantukur Ribadu, amid goodwill messages and mobilisation efforts by party supporters from communities across Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area.
