
Adamawa APC elders commend AG Vision over Yola-Mubi road, urge FG to speed up completion

The Adamawa state All Progressive Congress (APC) elders forum from northern zone has commended the contractor handling the Yola-Mubi road project AG vision for what they described as durable work and urged the federal government to ensure completion of the project before the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists on Monday in, Mubi, the spokesman of the group, Mohammed Abubakar, said that the phase one of the road has been completed and that the federal government should speed up action to award the contract for the phase two before the general elections.

“The Yola-Mubi road is very important to the people of northern Adamawa State, because it links Nigeria with republic of Cameroon and Mubi is the commercial centre of Adamawa State, so completing the road before the general elections will be an added advantage to our party.
” We must commend the contractor, AG Vision and president Bola Tinubu, for taking proactive measures to ensure that the phase one of the road is completed and we appealed to our minister of works senator David Umahi to award the contract of phase two before the forthcoming general elections, this will silent the opposition, “he said.
Abubakar said that the completion of the road will not only boost business activities in Mubi, but it will enhance the business relationship between Cameroon and Nigeria.
He pointed out that the road if completed will help the security agencies to combat insurgency, banditry and kidnapping in the northern zone.
“The northern Adamawa and central zone are the two zones under security threat, you can see the attacks in Madagali, Hong and Gombi local governments every week because of the proximity to sambisa forest, so the Yola-Mubi road is important for military and other security agencies to respond to any attack in the zone” he said.
Some commercial motorists described the completed section of the road as the best durable road constructed recently the state.
Alhaji saidu Umar a commercial motorists said, “the re-constructed road is wider and thicker than when it was constructed before, we are happy with the contractor AG Vision for doing a good job”.
Abubakar called on the National Security Adviser NSA Malam Nuhu Ribadu to use his good office to ensure that the project which is central to re-election of president Tinubu is awarded before next year.
“Some people because of their selfish interests are trying to sabotage the project and use it against the federal government, but we are sure with Ribadu, they cannot achieve their target.
” Some top APC members in Adamawa State are working in the night for other political parties, we know that they are not with president Tinubu and our governorship candidate Alhaji Tijani Galadima but we are going to shock them at the general elections come 2027,” he said.
Investigations revealed that AG Vision completed the phase one of the Yola-Mubi road project which is 52 kilometers some months ago and they are waiting for the award of the phase two which is the last phase of the road.
