
Lamido Adamawa Commends FCE Yola Management for Transformational Leadership
The Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Mohammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, has lauded the leadership of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Yola, for its progressive and transformational approach to education. He expressed deep appreciation for the college’s Governing Council, recognizing its efforts in fostering a strong relationship with the emirate and significantly improving the institution’s educational standards.
The Lamido made these remarks while receiving the 8th Governing Council of FCE Yola, led by its Chairman, Engineer Saheed Johnson, at his palace. The visit marked an important occasion, as it was the council’s first official engagement with the emirate following its inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking through the Galadima Adamawa, Mustapha Aminu, the Lamido congratulated the council members on their well-deserved appointments. He urged them to remain steadfast in their mission to develop the college into a model institution, not only in the northeastern region but across the entire country. Emphasizing the importance of quality education, he encouraged them to implement policies that would elevate the college’s academic and infrastructural standards.
The Governing Council delegation, led by Engineer Saheed Johnson, included the Provost, Deputy Provost, Registrar, and other top management staff of the college. During the visit, they expressed their appreciation to the Lamido for his unwavering support and fatherly guidance. They acknowledged the invaluable role that the emirate has played in fostering the growth and success of the institution.
Engineer Saheed Johnson assured the Lamido of the council’s commitment to take the college to greater heights. He further stated that the council would work tirelessly to ensure that the college remains a leading center for teacher education in Nigeria.
