2027: Your arguments hollow, lack intellectual depth, Jada hits back at Kushi

Adamawa renowned politician Umar Bello Jada also known as Calculate has in a fierce and no holds-barred rebuttal described the principal special assistant to governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on media and communications, George Kushi, as one suffering from selective amnesia, ignorance or dearth of knowledge about the real happenings in the PDP to warrant his villainous and unnecessary attack on him over his recent comment about developments in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.)
In a recent interview, Calculate has accused the trio of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the PDP national chairman, Amb Umar Damagum and governor Bala Mohammed of working with known enemies of the party to undermine PDPs chances come 2027 general elections.

He noted that some of the actions of the trio including rejection of coalition moves by some critical stakeholders, their continued support to Wike who has openly vowed to work against the party in 2027 general election and their reticence to take measured steps to address the grievances of major stakeholders culminating into mass defection as pointers to the fact that they have sold out the party to the Tinubu led government.
But reacting, Kushi has accused Calculate of playing to the gallery describing him as a political jester and rabble rouser whose nuisance value is his only known selling point in politics.
“It is indeed strange that anyone would describe Calculate as a frontline politician in Adamawa State. At best, he is a political jester whose dramatic antics once served as comic relief during tense political seasons. His trademark inconsistency and outdated praise-singing politics have become irrelevant. It is, therefore, unsurprising that he now attempts a comeback using the same stale tactics that no longer impress a more politically conscious populace,” Kushi said.
But repudiating Kushi’s submission, Calculate said resorting to personal attacks betrayed Kushi’s deep intellectual deficit, laziness and dearth of facts to engage in a healthy and knowledge driven conversation.
“I have no intentions whatsoever to deride, besmirch or ridicule George Kushi on account of his hollow rhetoric and intellectually deficient response to the real and factual concerns I raised in my interview about the precarious and hobbessian state of the biggest opposition party in Nigeria. But as a journalist of his class and caliber, it is expected that he will operate above the level of name calling and character assassination in responding to a topical national concern. But since he is doing it to justify earning a livelihood, I think what he did was a fair game.
“Let me tell Kushi that everyone has his shortcomings. I personally know the many shortcomings of Kushi and I can also decide to dwell on them in order to cast aspersions on his integrity but as a responsible and serious stakeholder, I cannot dwell so low especially considering the fact that Kushi is not an elected office holder from whom I can demand good governance and accountability,” he said.
Calculate noted that the failure of George Kushi to address any of the issues he raised was a serious indictment of his principal’s mosaic of political iniquities, subterfuge and diabolic political machinations adding that the same failure also questions, Kushi’s intellectual capacity to engage in critical national discourse.
He noted that in his interview he made reference to a number of concerns and failures of Fintiri and his co-travellers upon which he came to the conclusion that the trio are working against the party come 2027 election.
“Fintiri has once told the world that Wike was his only role model in the Nigerian political ecosystem and pledged to be 100 percent loyal to him. In the same manner, it was the trio of Fintiri, Bala Mohammed and Damagum who sold the dummy that the party will not engage in coalition talks with any party and arrogantly said the door of the party is opened to only those who care to join the party,” he said.
The politician added that at a point in time, Wike openly rained invectives on the PDP governors addressing them in despicable and pejorative language for disagreeing with him during their meeting, adding that even a smaller political party, the Labour Party refused to take such uncouth behavior from its high ranking members because it wants to instill discipline and decorum.
“It is noteworthy to recall that LP has suspended a sitting governor, reps members, Nenadi Usman and other critical members for challenging the Abure leadership but PDP has woefully failed to sanction Wike despite all the atrocities he has been carrying out including open anti-party activities, undermining the NEC, NWC and party’s BOT. In addition, he also openly boasted that he will ensure the defeat of the party in all elections in 2027. What has Fintiri and his co-travellers done to Wike?
“Despite all the vituperations and open attacks on the party’s governors and other layers of leadership, Fintiri is always seen escorting Wike to projects commissioning. If this does not translate to open endorsement of Wike’s rash and imperious actions by Fintiri I don’t really know what it is. The truth is that the three musketeers must be held responsible for killing PDP,” he said.
Calculate who called Kushi to a public debate any time any day also urged the PSA to present a cogent and verifiable move made by Fintiri in the last three months to promote the interest of the PDP.
“Kushi should tell me with cogent and verifiable facts a single thing Fintiri did to promote the party either at the state or the national level. But it is even apposite to note that in support of APC Fintiri’s social media handlers are now busy coming up with a new acronym PDAPC to suggest that their principal has bought into the newly arrangement to favour APC.
“Let me remind Kushi that from the day he wrote that unfortunate and baseless rejoinder about five days ago no fewer than eight senators from PDP have defected to APC in addition three reps members in Katsina defected to APC. In Edo State house of assembly, members have defected to APC. If Fintiri and co-travellers were not responsible considering their immense power then who are responsible?,” Calculate queried.
