Adamawa Polytechnic, Correspondents’ Chapel Renew Strategic Partnership
The management of Adamawa State Polytechnic (SPY) and the Adamawa State Correspondents’ Chapel have renewed their longstanding partnership aimed at strengthening collaboration between the media and the academic institution.
This renewed understanding was reaffirmed during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic by the newly elected chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Ibrahim Kado, along with members of the chapel. The visit was part of efforts to consolidate existing ties and explore new areas of cooperation.

Speaking during the visit, Kado commended the Polytechnic for its developmental strides, particularly in the area of academic reforms and infrastructure.
He pledged the commitment of the chapel to continue showcasing the achievements of the institution to the wider public, noting that the media plays a vital role in promoting education and shaping public perception.
“Our visit today is to reaffirm our readiness to work with the Polytechnic as partners in progress. As journalists, we are committed to highlighting the institution’s milestones and supporting its mission to advance education in Adamawa State,” Kado stated.
In response, the Rector of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Professor Mohammed Toungos, expressed appreciation for the chapel’s continued support over the years.
He described the relationship between the Polytechnic and the media as strategic and mutually beneficial.
Professor Toungos assured the delegation of the institution’s readiness to deepen its engagement with the media for the overall benefit of students, staff, and the public.
He emphasized that effective communication with stakeholders is crucial to the institution’s development agenda.
“We see the media not just as observers but as partners in our journey to deliver quality education. We welcome this renewed collaboration and look forward to more impactful engagements,” he said.
He also pledged to continue to provide scholarship for members of the chapel who intend to further studies in the institution.
