Adamawa ADC chieftain, Binani shower tributes on Tinubu, says president is an ebullient leader
A chieftain of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa and the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 election in the state, Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Binani has yesterday showered glowing tributes on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying that he is ebullient, large hearted, down-to-earth and kind leader.
Recalling Tinubu’s special kindness to her when he was the governor of Lagos State during a stakeholders meeting of ADC in Yola, Binani said the exceptional kindness of Tinubu towards her has made a lasting impression on her adding that such gesture will continue to resonate deeply in her life.

She then prayed for the success of the president in his onerous task of steering the ship of the country out of troubled waters.
” I must personally thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the assistance he rendered to me when he was a governor a long time ago. At that time I never envisaged contesting for a gubernatorial seat.
“Our paths with the president crossed when I was residing in Lagos and was in printing business. It happens that I was having a running trouble with some people and they brought me before the governor.
“But despite being a Fulani woman from Adamawa and the fact that Tinubu was a Yoruba man from Lagos, he resolved the issue and even gave me a plot of land so that I can build my own office and quit rentage.
“I have nothing in common with the then governor and even at that he ensured that my challenges were squarely addressed even though he didn’t know me from Adam. That encounter showed me the president was a large hearted person and for his kindness I will continue to pray for the success of his administration,” Binani said.
She noted that despite the gesture of the president towards her, she has no alternative than to leave APC because of the shabby manner some of the stakeholders in the state treat her.
Sen. Binani added that she painfully took the decision to quit the APC knowing that if she remains in the party, the ill treatment being meted to her will continue unabated.
“If you are in your house and you start looking at somebody’s house, it means your house is hot. I have no doubt we will continue to suffer injustice in this house if we remain in it. And quitting it is the only sensible option since being in the party is not a religious obligation,” she noted.
Binani also thanked APC for giving her the space to serve as a senator as well as the latitude to contest the last gubernatorial election in the state adding that she will continue to cherish such opportunities.
The politician added that she is not in ADC because of any desire to contest for any position noting that her future political destiny is solely in the hands of God adding that no amount of hard work could change one’s destiny.
“I’m not in ADC to necessarily contest any election. My political destiny is in the hands of God and nothing could change that. My appeal to the leadership of ADC is to ensure justice for all manner of persons. Justice is what will make this party to thrive against all odds. On my part I will ensure that I act justly and treat others with fairness,” she added.
She called on all Adamawa citizens to support the presidential ambition of former vice president Atiku Abubakar as it will bring good tidings into the state. She promised to ensure that in the next election Atiku wins Adamawa State comprehensively or will get at least 80 percent of the total votes.
“In the last election we all pulled our resources and energy to ensure the victory of president Tinubu in Adamawa, but despite that we only clinched 38 percent for him. With the landmark exploits of Atiku in Adamawa and his popularity, I believe if we work vigorously for him, he will get 100 percent success or at least 80 percent success in the next presidential election,” she said.
