Gunmen abduct 4 family members of Adamawa monarch kidnapped one year ago

Gunmen have invaded the family house of the district head of Mayo Farang in Mayo Belwa local government area of Adamawa State who doubles as Sarkin Noman Adamawa, Ardo Mustapha Ardo Ahmadu in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The district head was himself abducted about a year ago prompting him to relocate his family members to Yolde Pate, a Yola satellite town.

Information pieced by this medium indicated that the gunmen in their numbers stormed the residence of the monarch between 1:00am to 2:00am on Tuesday and shot the security personnel manning the house.

An eyewitness told our reporter that after shooting the security personnel, the gunmen broke the house and whisked away four members of the family.

Our source said the monarch was lucky not to be around when the incident happened as such he was not among those kidnapped.

“The gunmen stormed the area between 1:00am to 2:00am. On their arrival, they shot the security man manning the gate and forcefully entered the compound.

” They whisked away four members of the family,” our source said.

Confirming the development, the spokesman of Adamawa State police command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje said the police are on the trail of the hoodlums.

He noted that four members of the family have been kidnapped while the security man who was shot is currently receiving treatment.

Nguroje said the police will not rest on its oars until the victims are freed and assailants apprehended.

In another vein the Adamawa State coordinator of National Land Development Authority, (NALDA), Zakaria Kraha has been kidnapped at Nguroje.

Kraha was reportedly kidnapped while returning from Benue state to Adamawa at Ngurore, in Yola South local government, a family source told our reporter.

But the police image maker, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje could not confirm the abduction of the NALDA boss as he said he is yet to be briefed.
