Adamawa APC vows to protect Binani’s mandate

The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has called on the general public to disregard the negative propaganda by the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.

They made the call at a press briefing in Yola the Adamawa State capital on Monday 17th April, the statement signed by the Acting State Chairman, Elder Samaila Tadawus and the Assistant State Secretary, Mohd Raji Suleiman further called on security agencies to stall a sponsored daily protest aimed at precipitating violence in the state.

The State chapter of the party reiterated that Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani’s popularity negates any form of inducement hence, the massive votes she got from the Adamawa populace.

The party further condemned the weaponization of violence by the PDP whom a viral video indicted the Director General of the PDP Governorship Campaign.

The statement reads in part, “We are also aware that the molestation of the National Commissioners was done by Agents of the State Government. Hired thugs were used to molest one of them to the point that he was stripped half naked. Shamelessly, one of the Agents of the state Government was seen apologizing to the affected person and claiming that they molested him thinking he was the REC’.

The party for peace, “We wish to also express sincere appreciation to the people of the state for shunning violence. We in the APC are peaceful and peace loving. We will continue to promote peace in the state because we believe that nothing can be achieved without peace”.

The Adamawa APC reiterated its resolve to protect its mandate by all legal means, “Let me state clearly that the APC and all our members in Adamawa state are solidly behind our Governor-elect and wish to announce that we will protect our mandate by all legal means”.

Finally, we call on INEC to abide by the legal requirements that provides for only the Tribunal or the courts to upturn a valid and lawful declaration.
