Rivers APC denies ceding ministerial slot to Wike, urges Tinubu to respect party supremacy
The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims that it has allocated the ministerial slot of the state to former Governor Nyesom Wike.
In a statement released in Port Harcourt, the party emphasized the importance of President Bola Tinubu honoring party supremacy and not considering Wike for the appointment.

The spokesman, Darlington Nwauju, emphasized that only the officially recognized party structure holds the authority to make such decisions.
Nwauju also stated that Tony Okocha, the head of the campaign council, was not a member of the party, and therefore, his claims lacked credibility. The party dismissed these allegations as attempts to further Wike’s political ambitions.

Rivers APC questioned the eligibility of Nyesom Wike for a ministerial appointment under the APC ruling federal government.

They called on Tinubu’s who they described as a man of immense experience and wisdom to make a decision that aligns with the party’s values and priorities.
