Productivity award by Adamawa pilgrims commission, a tonic for excellence – Barr Hapsaf Abdullahi
Barr. Hapsat Abdullahi, a renowned Adamawa human rights activist and legal practitioner has vowed to put in more to ensure better Hajj operations in the state in the coming years.
Abdullahi who made the remark shortly after she was conferred with productivity award by the Adamawa State Pilgrims Welfare Commission promised to gun for excellence as she noted that the award is a tonic for more productivity.

She thanked the management of the pilgrims commission, the ulama and all other stakeholders whose collective inputs and commitment led to the overall success of the 2023 Hajj exercise.
Abdullahi noted that with the kind of energy, spiritedness, commitment and an overaching patriotic fervour which all the stakeholders exude during the 2023, she is optimistic that Hajj operations in the state will move from strength to strength.
“This award is a tonic for me to gun for more and achieve excellence in order to make Hajj operations a worthwhile venture in Adamawa State. I must thank the Ulama’s the commission’s staff, management, the pilgrims and all stakeholders for their support and dedication which culminated in today’s award.
“By the grace of Allah, Hajj operations in Adamawa will continue to witness monumental milestones and positive trajectories in the future because of the commitment of all stakeholders,” she noted.
Earlier on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reiterated his commitment towards supporting Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola to conduct a successful Hajj operations in 2024.
Fintiri made the commitment during the Post 2023 Hajj Walimah and Award Presentation held at the Commission’s Headquarters in Yola.
The Governor who was represented by the state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Devopement, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Prambe said Government will not relent in it’s efforts to ensure smooth Hajj operations in the future.
He commended Adamawa Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission at ensuring a successful pilgrimage for the Pilgrims in Adamawa state.
Governor Fintiri urged intending Pilgrims to hasten and pay the Hajj fare to enable them participate in 2024 Hajj adding that “Government will make sure it settle payment of fare for all officials of the Commissions before the end of December this year.”
Earlier, in a presentation, the Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission Yola, Malam Abubakar Salihu has expressed appreciation for the collective efforts of staff and stakeholders at ensuring the success of the 2023 Hajj exercise.
He particularly noted with joy the unflinching support the Commission is receiving from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri saying such is the secret behind success of the previous Hajj exercise.
The Executive Secretary acknowledged cordial working relationship with staff and Stakeholders of the Commission at ensuring successful pilgrimage.
He used the forum to announce the commencement of the preparation for the 2024 Hajj exercise urging intending Pilgrims to deposit the sum of N4.5 million pending the official announcement of the Hajj fare.
