Wakiliya Doka Jimeta thanks Fintiri for setting a new bar in gender inclusion
Adamawa foremost and prolific gender inclusive advocate, Barr. Hapsat Abdullahi who is the traditional title holder of Wakiliya Doka Jimeta has extolled governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for setting a high bar in gender inclusion by offering 50 percent opportunities for women to hold high political offices in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who is the first governor in the north east to appoint a woman as his deputy and another one as the chief judge of the state has recently directed PDP to ensure that all the chairmanship running mates in the forth coming local government election are women.

While acknowledging the gender friendliness of the governor, Abdullahi said Fintiri has again set another record by even surpassing the world approved standards of 35 percent inclusion adding that such standard is audacious by every standards.
“I must commended Governor Fintiri for giving women the opportunity to co-pilot the affairs of the 21 local governments in Adamawa State,” she stated.
Abdullahi, who is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj rites said the gesture was the “first of it kind in the history of Adamawa State.”
According to her, it does not matter from which party this is coming but what matters is that women are well recognized, accepted and highly revered to be entrusted with key leadership positions in the state.
She urged the people especially stakeholders to ensure that the gesture of the governor sees the light of the day by paving the way for competent and capable women who will not disappoint the people to man the important offices.
She called on voters especially women to come out en masse during the primaries and general elections to vote for women in order to give them the legitimacy to hold such offices.
“When you trust a woman, she on her part finds it very difficult to disappoint you, you can see how great Prof Kaketapwa is serving our dear state with excellence,” she added.
Abdullahi added that Fintiri is doing great for the women in Adamawa with women reflecting in all appointments made by the Governor.
She also called on all women occupying both political and non political offices in Adamawa to keep to expectations and not disappoint the people of Adamawa and that of the country at large.
Abdullahi promised to put Nigeria and Adamawa State in her prayers during the holy exercise.
