FMC B-Kudu commissions 250 bed child/maternal hospital in Taura LG
The management of the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Birnin Kudu in Jigawa State has inaugurated a 250 bed capacity child and maternal Hospital in Taura Local Government Area of the State.
Dr Adamu Abdullahi Atterwharmie, the Medical Director of FMC Birnin Kudu represented by Dr Yunus Eze made this known during the formal inauguration of the hospital in Taura on Thursday.

He said the Federal Medical Center had decided to establish the maternal Hospital in order to expand health services and increase access to medical care in the rural communities.
He called on the host community to cooperate with the deployed staff of the hospital to make the hospital a better place.
“We would continue to closely monitor the performance of the hospital after which we would expand our services to cover other medical challenges” he said.
According to him the hospital would for now commence treatment of Paediatric cases and Antenatal medical attention.
In his remarks, Alhaji Nura Usman the District Head of Taura has commended the management of the Federal Medical Center for establishing the hospital as its annex.
He assured that the community would extend maximum support to the centre,saying this hospital would serve the medical needs of many local government areas.
Our correspondent reports that the FMC has deployed a team of experts in various field of medical sciences to mann the newly established child and maternal health hospital.
