A renowned frontline Adamawa base international business tycoon and technocrat, Abdulrahman Bashir Haske has expressed deep shock, trepidation and sadness over the demise of Adamawa renowned politician, administrator and academic giant, Professor Jonathan Silas Zwingina saying that Nigeria has lost one of its finest sons.
In a statement he made available to this newspaper on Friday Haske who described Zwingina as a rare patriot, erudite scholar, a true compatriot, a bridge builder and a quintessential peace advocate said the death of the elder statesman will continue to elicit poignant memories in the minds of Nigerians considering his exceptional contributions to national development in different capacities.

“The death of this great Nigerian has elicited deep rooted angst in the minds of many Nigerians who will not forget in a hurry his epoch contributions to national development which he undertake under different capacities as an erudite scholar, accomplished administrator, a thoroughbred grass root mobilizer and Peace ambassador.
“He is an epitome of honesty, a reliable ally, a true democrat and an trailblazer of gangling stature. Nigeria will surely, sorely miss the giant contributions of this rare gem and true patriot.
“I join Nigerians in commiserating with the family of Zwingina. I also wish to use this auspicious occasion to commiserate with the government and people of Adamawa State, the national assembly and the federal government over this great loss.
“But I’m particularly consoled in the fact that the elder statesman lived a life worthy of emulation and has engraved his name in the sands of time and left and indelible legacy of hard work, dedication and honesty that will continue to resonate even after his death,” Haske said.
