Dr. Adamu Abdullahi Atterwahmie’s harvest of revolutionary strides at FMC B-Kudu

It has been a popular conception and comprehension that leaders are generally. born not made while others are of the view that leaders are made not born. These theoretical postulations and contestations befits the personality of Dr Adamu Abdullahi Atterwharmie, the incumbent Medical Director (MD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Birnin Kudu in Jigawa State.
Dr Atterwahmie, assumed office as the substantive Medical Director of the facility in December 2021 after considering his track records of achievements as one of the best practicing obstetrics Gynaecologist who made significant impact in the profession. Atterwahmie has proved beyond reasonable doubt that his major preoccupation was not mundane but the humanity this he practically demonstrated by championing the course of human development without primordial considerations.

Our quintessential and workaholic Medical Director since assumption of office at the facility in the last three years has aggressively, with zeal and patriotism settled for business as numerous infrastructural facilities had been put in place in the hospital to the happiness of the those who patronizes the centre and the Nigerians in general.
The hospital was among the first generation of hospitals inaugurated by the then premier of Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto of blessed memory in 1961. The facility continued to operate as the Birnin Kudu General Hospital but later converted to the enviable status of the Federal Tertiary Health Centre in the year 2000 by the then Olusegun Obasanjo administration.
Then the hospital was glaringly lacking in many infrastructural facilities and it was not spacious enough to accommodate other facilities and this challenge was what motivated and spurred Dr Atterwahmie to begin scouting and searching for a spacious plot of land for the construction of a befitting permanent site for the hospital after which God, answered his prayers and out of its magnanimity and the unquenchable desire for development the Jigawa State Government graciously allocated spacious land for the construction of an ultra model permanent site for the center and construction work had already reached advanced stage.
Dr Atterwahmie, has out of his desire for progress of the hospital has expanded the quantum of recruitment of members of staff covering every department and existing units, a positive action which clearly reduced redundancy and unemployment among Nigerians. His recruitment has always been in accordance with the extant rules and the regulations guiding such exercise.
Therefore, with Atterwahmie on the helm of of affairs of FMC Birnin Kudu, I am very sure that even the skye would not be the limit of the medical facility as the Medical Director is forever determined and committed to continue to catapult the center to greatness.
