Hitch free Christmas: Adamawa police emplace water tight security
The Adamawa State Police command, in collaboration with Sister Security agencies, has put in place adequate security arrangements in order to ensure the security of lives and property before, during and after the festive periods.
To ensure the attainment of that noble goal, the Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, has directed all Divisional police officers, Heads of Departments, Tactical commanders and Area commanders to personally lead the security deployments in their Areas of responsibilities a statement by the PPRO SP Sulaiman Nguroje disclosed.
The police commissioner also charged them to ensure adequate security at places of worship, event centres, residential areas and recreational facilities and facilitate stop and search operations at all entry roads.
Other measures emplaced by the CP include; 24/7 visibility and vehicular patrols, effective traffic/crowth control for free flow of traffic, surveillance and information gathering for effective policing.
The Command equally advised members of the public to give timely and actionable information to police, report any suspicious movement, avoid any strange object and desist from dangerous/reckless driving.
The CP also emphasized that fire works and firecrackers are banned just as he noted that the use of tinted vehicles and covered number plates and unauthorized use of siren are also outlawed.
