Adamawa CoS, Edgar Amos calls for unity, camaraderie among citizens
Chief of Staff to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state Dr Edgar Amos Sunday has admonished the people of the state to embrace one another and to exhibit ethnic and religious tolerance as a panacea for human development.
The Chief of Staff through a message he sent, said this at a Christmas cultural celebrations organized by the ST. Monica Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, LCCN Cathedral Jimeta.

During the event where over twenty cultural groups were drafted to feature, Edgar described culture as one of the strongest identities of people which should not be taken for granted but upheld at all times and at all costs.
He exemplified that a society where people respect one another’s cultures and traditions is a society where developments thrive.
According to him, Adamawa state is blessed to have had about eighty ethnic groups and posit that the diversity is a strength rather than weakness.
He enlightened that languages go extinct because of the failure of the owners to represent it every now and then.
He used the forum to wish all and sundry a merry Christmas and prosperous new year with back up of Christmas packages for performing tribes during the event.
The Pastor in charge of the LCCN ST Monica Cathedral Jimeta, Dean Rev Babangida Joseph had earlier in a remark told the gathering that one of the ways to uphold culture is by constantly practicing it and stated further that Christmas is a time of celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ hence the event to remind people of their roots.
Bwatiye, Mbula, Huba, Tiv, Ngas, Jenjo, Laka, Yandang, Jukun, Chamba, Ga’anda, Higgi, Lunguda to mention just a few formed part of the performing tribes.
