22-yr-old Adamawa resident arrested for alleged abduction, rape of minor
A 22-yr-old resident of Gwalantabal in Song LGA of Adamawa State, Luka James is currently in the custody of Adamawa State Police command for alleged conspiracy, abduction and rape of a 15-year-old girl.
A statement by the image maker of the state police command, SP, Sulaiman Nguroje noted that the incident which took place at Michika town was reported by a resident of the town Yohanna Begie.
“The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended and taken into custody a 22-year-old for the offenses of criminal conspiracy abduction and rape of a minor.

“The suspect, Luka James, aged 22, of Gwalantabal Village in Song Local Government Area, was arrested in Michicka following a report made to the police by Yohanna Begie, a resident of Nkafa Village.
“According to the report, on 31st January, 2025, the survivor was on her way to school when the suspect conspired with one Emmanuel, who is currently on the run, abducted her into a nearby bush and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
“She was found unconscious at the scene and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Damkombo Morris, PSC(+), expressed worry over the ugly incident and directed the Deputy commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the investigation and ensure justice.
“The CP advised members of the public, especially parents, to develop a habit of close monitoring of their wards and provide timely information to the police,” Nguroje said.
