Adamawa Dep Gov Hosts Interest Groups, Staff To Ramadan Iftar
The official residence of Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta was on Friday full to the brim as she hosted various groups and staff of her office to Ramadan Iftar.
Addressing the guests, Farauta solicited for intensified prayers during the seasons of Ramadan and lent for the progress, peace, unity and development of the state.

She said Ramadan and lent seasons which coincide are of blessings for both Christians and Muslims, underscoring the importance of living together and being our brothers’ keepers.
According to her, prayers for the state, Nigeria and leadership for unity of purpose, progress, peace, and tranquility, are highly appreciated from all and sundry.
She said, “It is important to come together as one big family face to face in the spirit of love. This is a season of blessings, prayers and supplication for ourselves, state and nation as Muslims are fasting and Christians are on the lent.
“I urge you to pray for the governor, the deputy governor, Adamawa and Nigeria. Also, pray for the state cabinet, so that when decisions are taken, they would be guided for the development of the state.
“I want plead that we should learn to live together as our brothers’ keepers.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s office Dr. Markus Linah, among other speakers, commended the deputy governor for such an initiative, which is the first of its kind in the deputy governor’s office, advocating the need to work together in the spirit of oneness.
They called for patience and tolerance among one another, urging the convener to continue with the team spirit she demonstrated.
The speakers also reiterated the need for the staff to reciprocate by being committed to duty.
The sole aim of the gathering was to create a platform to interface, with the view to promoting togetherness, peace, and unity in diversity.
Politicians, captains of industries, women and men groups, permanent staff, security, press crew members and security staff of her office, among other interest groups, participated.
