Chairman of Ganye Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Hon. Farouk Mohammed, popularly known as *Bulldozer*, has expressed strong confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will clinch victory in Saturday’s bye-election for the Ganye State Constituency seat.

Speaking ahead of the poll, Mohammed declared that the PDP candidate, Barr. Mohammed B. Joda, enjoyed overwhelming grassroots support, thanks to both the candidate’s acceptance among constituents and the performance of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed the bye-election for Saturday, 16 August 2025, following the death of the former occupant of the seat, Hon. Abdulmalik Jauro Musa, on 24 May 2024. The contest has generated intense interest, with major political parties staging high-profile rallies in the run-up to the vote.

Mohammed said the PDP had carried out an extensive, door-to-door campaign across the constituency, engaging communities directly to highlight the party’s achievements and the candidate’s plans.

“We have worked tirelessly in the build-up to this election. With the outstanding performance of Governor Fintiri in infrastructure, education, and social welfare, I am confident the people will stand with us,” he said.

The chairman also called on residents to turn out in large numbers to exercise their civic rights, assuring them of a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

“We are ready for Saturday, and we trust the will of the people will prevail. Our campaign has been about development, unity, and service,” Mohammed added
