Komsiri led ADC exco reaffirms loyalty to Mark, Atiku vows to pursue reconciliation, rule of law
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State has reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the leadership of the party’s national chairman, Senator David Mark, and to the Coalition Alliance led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The party also pledged to deepen reconciliation and uphold the rule of law as guiding principles in its ongoing restructuring process ahead of the 2027 general elections.

These resolutions formed part of a communiqué issued at the end of an emergency meeting of the 44-member Interim Caretaker Committee of the ADC, held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the party’s secretariat in Jimeta–Yola.
The meeting, chaired by the Interim State Chairman, Mallam Saidu Njobdi Komsiri, was convened to review the outcome of the court proceedings held on November 10, 2025, and to deliberate on the next steps for the party’s operations in the state.
In a statement signed by Komsiri, the Committee resolved to remain committed to lawful processes, describing adherence to judicial pronouncements as “the foundation of democracy.”
According to the communiqué, the ADC in Adamawa will continue to pursue reconciliation and peace-building among all stakeholders to foster internal harmony and strengthen the party’s structures across the 21 local government areas of the state.
The communiqué further stated that the interim leadership would sustain the ongoing grassroots mobilization campaign in line with ADC’s national vision of inclusiveness, transparency, and people-oriented governance.
“We are determined to sustain all activities that promote the ideals of our party integrity, fairness, and democratic participation,” the statement added.
While pledging full allegiance to the national leadership under Senator David Mark, the committee reaffirmed ADC Adamawa’s alignment with the broader Coalition Alliance, which it described as a “strategic framework for unity among progressive forces working toward national renewal.”
The committee also expressed deep appreciation to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom it hailed as the “Leader of the Coalition Alliance” and a “pillar of democratic resilience.”
The party commended Atiku’s continuous support for democratic institutions and his efforts in promoting political stability in the state and beyond.
“The meeting profoundly appreciates His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON, for his enduring statesmanship, fatherly guidance, and unwavering commitment to the defense of democracy, justice, and national unity in Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole,” the communiqué read.
The party further lauded Atiku’s leadership qualities, describing him as a unifying figure whose vision for a renewed, united, and progressive Nigeria resonates across political divides.
“His exemplary leadership continues to inspire hope across party lines, and the Adamawa ADC family proudly aligns with his vision under a coalition of democratic forces committed to rescuing the nation,” the communique stated.
The ADC caretaker leadership called on members, supporters, and the general public to remain calm, law-abiding, and steadfast in their commitment to democratic ideals.
The communiqué emphasized that the party would not be distracted by internal disputes or external pressures but would continue to work towards building a strong and credible political platform ahead of the 2027 elections.
“The African Democratic Congress in Adamawa State remains committed to peace, reconciliation, and people-oriented politics anchored on the principles of justice and inclusivity,” the statement concluded.
